Over the years I’ve played in countless bands in a huge variety of genres, from Brazilian pop to country western to noise. You can hear some of my older compositions here and here.
Right now, I’m primarily focused on three projects:
Common Things is my low-fi improvisation band. We recorded this EP a few years back and are on a pause until we can hang again. Headphones really on this one; our budget was $0.
Small Songs is an experimental pop band that approaches feelings from the earnestness of a child’s perspective. We just released our third record, and are working on #4.
Alex Burgoyne Quartet is the jazz group I most often play with. We swing in a midwestern kinda way, and sound a little like this:
